We have superb lodging and facilities partner for this event. Selina is the world leader in the combined Coliving-Coworking market, with over 80 properties around the world. They have 10 locations in Costa Rica and each is unique.
Costa Rica is one of Selina’s biggest, strongest and most popular markets. There is nobody else that has this multi-location coliving, coworking and collaboration capability. It’s like a working campus without classrooms.
Community and activities
Everyone in town knows where Selina is located, everybody likes and respects Selina. With a restaurant and pool open to the public, it’s really popular at night with dancing and live music. It’s a “hot brand.”
People from nearby and all overcome to Selina when the band is playing or when there is a DJ. It’s the place to be and it’s our “home base.” The locations are right in the heart of it all, with great bars and restaurants nearby.
Each location has a full-time activities coordinator and their knowledge and insider connection are invaluable when you want to do any activities, or if you just have a general question.
Because the space is very limited at the venues, it is essential to commit early (by October). For example – these venues have only 20-45 total rooms and the best ones get booked fast.
Limited Space
One of the reasons the event will be small is the available space at our facilities.There are very limited options for hosting something like an event with a speaker and an audience of 50 or more. That’s not what we’re looking for anyway this is designed to be very small and intimate were people really form close relationships over a period of time.
The facilities are loaded with things right on campus and they are usually very well located for other things like restaurants bars and beaches.
The Digital Nomad Monthly Pass saves big $$
This program is best with a Monthly Pass that lets us visit three locations, two on the beach and one by the volcano in the rainforest. You can extend a Monthly Pass at the same room rate for an additional 15 days (45 total). There is a small upcharge for multiple people in the room.
You can join in the event at any time at any of the locations and follow us around. Your monthly pass will just have a different beginning and ending. You can continue to join me as I head to other cities in month two.
Nightly room rates can be three times as high. So, even if you don’t stay a month, it pays to buy a monthly pass. We will all be staying close to one another.
What You Get
Selina’s amenities include a swimming pool, a restaurant/bar, weekly live music, yoga classes and additional free activities. Iguanas come to eat lunch and you can feed them a banana.
A swimming pool is perfect as the high is 88-92 every day. I swim or dip in the pool and stretch every day – several times. Order food or drinks to be delivered here.

Multiple Private Room Options
Selina offers multiple types of private rooms, all within the Monthly Passes option, and each lets you visit up to three properties per month. I recommend the Standard room, which is what I have already purchased. I was in the Micro Room in early 2021.

Lodging - Selina Room Type Details
1. Micro Room (Below)
This is the room type I did in early 2021 when I was solo so I really enjoyed it. It’s a small, private room or teepee type of room. Bath and shower are shared. It’s very cultural. It is mostly for sleeping and storage. The listed cost is $810 per month.
La Fortuna has Teepees and they count as Micro Rooms since they have a shared shower and bath. I stayed in these places here, and in other locations, and it was really interesting.
2. Standard Room (below)
A traditional size room with plenty of space to stretch out or even work in. Selina dresses these rooms up nicely with accessories and artwork. For 2022, the cost is $1,140 per month. I expect most will choose this type of room.
3. Suite (below)
The suite gives you lots of space, single or multiple beds, kitchen, and living room. The cost is $1,850 on up per month. There may be small per person charges.
